Hey there, fellow moms! 👋
Summertime can be so hard when you are not only trying to keep your littles entertained and happy but also when you feel like you are feeding them ALL THE TIME!! I have come up with 10 No-Cook easy and kid friendly summer lunches.
🥗 1. Turkey & Cheese Lettuce Wraps
My kids love any type of wrap. I like to add in some flavored cream cheese spread to add a little more flavor. To go gluten free, Swap tortillas for crisp romaine or butter lettuce. Add sliced turkey, cheese, mustard or hummus, and roll it up!
🥙 2. Hummus Snack Box
My kids LOVE hummus, I'm not such a fan of it. I get them hummus and I use ranch for myself. Pair a scoop of hummus (or ranch) with baby carrots, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, pita chips, and a boiled egg (pre-cooked from store = no prep!).
🧀 3. DIY Lunchables
Sometimes I crave the good old Lunchables I had when I was a kid. Not so great for my body, but sure bring back memories. Create your own at home! Use a bento box to layer crackers, sliced deli meat, cheese cubes, fruit, and a small treat. Easy, balanced, and fun to eat.
🥪 5. Cream Cheese & Jelly Sandwiches
I love me a good PB&J. Here is a different twist on the classic PB&J—spread cream cheese and your child’s favorite jelly on sandwich bread or mini bagels.
🫓 7. Snack Plate Lunch
Create a fun “snack board” with baby carrots, cheese cubes, apple slices, pretzels, and a small treat like fruit snacks. You can call it a charcuterie lunch. Your kids will think it is so fun!
🥬 6. Caprese Salad Cups
Layer cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Serve with crackers or crusty bread on the side. Balsamic glaze is the BEST!
🫓 7. Peanut Butter Banana Roll-Ups
Spread peanut butter (or any nut butter) on a tortilla, layer with banana slices, roll up, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
🥒 8. Greek Yogurt Parfait Lunch
Use high-protein Greek yogurt, top with granola, berries, chia seeds, and a drizzle of honey. Add a boiled egg or nut mix for extra protein.
🐔 9. Rotisserie Chicken Wraps
Use store-bought rotisserie chicken (cold), add shredded cheese and ranch dressing in a tortilla, then roll and slice. Grab an extra rotisserie chicken at Costco the next time you are there!
🥜 10. Fruit & Protein Bento Box
Pack apple slices with almond butter, a cheese stick, hard-boiled egg, and whole grain crackers for a power-packed, no-cook combo.
Hopefully that gets you thinking outside of the box when it comes to making lunch for your littles during summer. Try to make things easier on yourself as much as possible. You got this!!!
